Bill Day is chief executive of Seaworks Ltd, a multimillion-dollar global marine technology company. His company has pioneered techniques for seismic surveying, underwater salvage and the repair and laying of underwater cables. Prior to founding Seaworks, he managed a dive school and a team of 20 diving professionals from 1981–1987. He has also led several treasure hunting expeditions to the sub-Antarctic.
Bill holds a BA, LLB and an MBA from Victoria University along with a variety of professional marine and underwater qualifications. In 2000, he received the Ernst & Young, New Zealand Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Bill Day is also vice chairman of the New Zealand Business Roundtable.
