David Flacks is a partner at Bell Gully based in Auckland. He has been advising a wide range of clients including start up and high growth companies on corporate and commercial law for over 20 years. His in-depth legal experience has been complemented by the development of management and leadership skills and an appreciation of corporate and boardroom strategy.

David worked for two major London firms before emigrating to New Zealand. He became a partner of the firm in 1987. He was General Counsel and Company Secretary of Carter Holt Harvey Limited, at the time one of New Zealand’s largest listed companies, for over four years, before returning to Bell Gully.

David is recognised as a leading practitioner in major international journals, including Chambers Global 2009. Clients interviewed for the 2008 edition praised David’s “sound advice and guidance”.
