David M. Budgett, PhD - Auckland Bioengineering Institute
David Budgett has long been involved in technology development and commercialisation in the bioengineering field. He is a member of the Bionengineering Institute, University of Auckland, and leads a team pioneering wireless power supplies for implantable medical devices. He is also Director of Engineering for an Institute spin-out company Telemetry Research - who sell implantable monitoring devices. David has a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Imperial College. He has taken on the challenging of taking university research outputs to market a number of times, and some have been a lot more successful than others.
