Catherine Mohr is Director of Medical Research at Intuitive Surgical in San Francisco. She works on surgical robots and robotic surgical procedures, using robots to make surgery safer - and to go places where human wrists and eyes simply can’t. Catherine is also an Instructor at the Department of Surgery at Stanford School of Medicine. Catherine’s specialties include surgical education, surgical procedure development in a variety of specialties, instrument design, and new technology evaluation. Catherine, who was born in NZ, was one of the stand out speakers at the TED conference in the US this year.
