Andrew Scott

Andrew Scott founded Communications Venture Partners Limited (CVP) in 1998. CVP invests in telecommunications and related software business around the world. To date the firm has invested in 15 companies around the world and has had some notable sucess stories including, inter alia, Celtel, MobilTel, Ipin, Smartray. Prior to founding CVP, Mr. Scott worked at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in the Telecommunications and Media Team where he focussed on investing in cellular networks around eastern Europe and Russia. Mr. Scott has worked in investment banking and management consulting for Lehman Brothers and Boston Consulting Group. Mr. Scott has a MBA from Stanford University, USA, a Masters Degree in finance from Auckland University, New Zealand and he is a qualified chartered accountant. Mr. Scott currently sits on numerous company Boards, including, inter alia, 2degreesmobile (www.2degreesmobile.co.nz), Ring2 (www.ring2.com), BBIG, the holding company that owns 60 percent of Eircom (www.eircom.com), the largest telephone operator in Ireland, CVP and all related funds, and PiLs, a private equity fund focussing on healthcare.
